Region Languedoc-Roussillon

    The Languedoc-Roussillon region is composed of five departments (Aude, Gard, Herault, Lozère and Pyrenees-Orientales). It is bordered to the south by Spain, Andorra and the Mediterranean Sea (the Gulf of Lion) and the French regions following: Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, Rhone-Alpes, Auvergne, Midi-Pyrenees.
Several factors limit the natural: the Pyrenees, then the threshold of Lauragais, the Cevennes and the river Rhone.
Several geographers have spoken of an amphitheater turned to the sea speaking mountains and plains and Languedoc roussillonaises.
